AUSSIE: AUD/USD last trades at $0.7095, virtually unchanged on the day, after
revived risk appetite allowed the pair to reach session highs at $0.7113 before
it backed off. This comes after the pair was pressured by a stronger USD on
Thursday, in addition to NAB's variable mortgage rate hike & questions
surrounding the upcoming Sino-U.S. trade talks.
- Bears look for a fall through yesterday's low of $0.7081 before attempting a
move at $0.7046, which represents the 38.2% fibo retracement of the move from
$0.6741 to $0.7235. Conversely, bulls need jump above the $0.7100, after the
figure was breached overnight, which would allow them to challenge the lower
1.0% 10-DMA envelope at $0.7083.
- Australian focus next week turns to domestic CPI due Wednesday, with Australia
set to observe a holiday Monday.
