AUSSIE: Bank views ahead of tomorrow's RBA release at 0330GMT.
- TD Securities expect the RBA to keep the cash rate on hold at 1.5%. They
expect the Bank to reaffirm a neutral monetary policy bias again and for the
Bank to shy away from introducing any changes to the statement for what is the
last meeting of the year.
- CACIB expect no change in rates. They add, "the RBA will continue to suggest
that wages growth and inflation are likely to remain subdued or below target for
some time", however, so any boost from the upbeat rhetoric on growth will be
modest. The RBA will continue to threaten low rates for longer if the currency
appreciates significantly.
