Biden Statement On GDP Report: "Economic Recovery Is Powering Forward"

The White House has released a statement from President Joe Biden on the third quarter GDP report.

  • Biden: "For months, doomsayers have been arguing that the US economy is in a recession and Congressional Republicans have been rooting for a downturn. But today we got further evidence that our economic recovery is continuing to power forward."
  • The statement concludes by stating that "Congressional Republicans have a very different agenda – one that would drive up inflation and add to the deficit by cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans and large corporations."
  • Biden is expected to expand attacks of Republican economic plans in remarks from Syracuse, New York today. Biden will compare the Democrats’ agenda and what the administration sees as a “mega MAGA trickle-down agenda that will increase inflation and costs for families.”
