BP’s Azerbaijan Project Pumped 23% Less Gas in 2023

The BP led Azeri-Chirag-Gunlashi (ACG) block of fields in Azerbaijan’s part of the Caspian Sea produced 2 bcm of associated gas in 2023, down 0.6 bcm on the year, BP told Bloomberg.

  • The associated gas produced from the site is supplied to Azerbaijan’s government for free as per the terms of a production sharing agreement signed in 2017.
BP controls 30.7% of the project and is partnered with SOCAR, MOL, Inpex, Exxon Mobil, Turkiye Petrolleri AO, Itochu and ONGC Videsh, according to Bloomberg
