Braverman Eliminated From Conservative Leadership Race, 3rd Round On 18 July

Attorney General Suella Braverman has been eliminated from the Conservative Party leadership contest having won the fewest votes in the second round. Braverman won 27 votes, a decline on yesterday's vote.

  • Former Chancellor Rishi Sunak topped the voting list once again with 101 (+13) votes. Trade Minister Penny Mordaunt in second with 83 (+16) and Foreign Secretary Liz Truss in third with 64 (+14). Kemi Badenoch won 49 (+9) votes, and centrist Tom Tugendhat winning 32 votes (down from his 1st round vote).
  • Mordaunt remains the betting market favourite to win the leadership. Internal polling of Conservative party members has her as the favourite, beating all other potential challengers.
