Brazil Oil and Gas Output Hit Record High for July

Brazil’s hydrocarbon production rose month-on-month in July, with crude production hitting an all-time record, according to the National Agency of Petroleum.

  • Crude production was 3.513m b/d in July, up by 4.34% on the month and 18.6% on July 2022.
  • Natural gas or associated gas yields rose 1.19% on the month to 154.076 mcm/d, representing a rise of 13.6% on the year.
  • The largest single producer of both oil and gas in July was the Tupi field, with an output of 865,710 b/d of crude and 41.63 mcm/d of gas.
  • 97.2% of Brazil’s gas production was utilised, with 55.41 mcm/d made available to the domestic market.
