Brazil Set to Import Record Russian Diesel Volume in March

Russian supplies of diesel to Brazil are expected to reach a record 2.7mbbls in March according to Kpler data. The volume represents more than a quarter of Brazil’s total diesel imports with reduced supplies from the US making way for the cheaper Russian supplies.

  • Brazil purchases have been secured at a 20 to 25 cents per gallon discount according to Bloomberg sources.
  • US diesel supplies to Brazil have also been impacted by higher imports from India with Brazil set to import 2.8mbbls in March.
