OIL: Brent dipped below $80 yesterday in line with extended weakness in US
stocks but managed to close above this level, which marks a line in the sand for
the survival of the bull market. Bears definitely have the momentum and a close
below yesterday's low would represent a major technical break.
- WTI is also losing momentum with the short-term uptrend from the August lows
under threat. Bull shave managed to push back through $71 but the rally has
lacked impulse.
