EGB SUMMARY: Brexit deal concerns have knocked EGBs off course from a fairly
quiet open, with Bunds soaring and periphery EGBs selling off.
- After a Tweet from a senior lawmaker in the Northern Irish party which props
up UK PM May saying we look headed for a No Deal Brexit, Core EGBs soared with
BTPs weakening.
- The Dec 18 Bund future is up 19 ticks at 159.93, having traded as low as
159.61 earlier. But BTP futures down 89 ticks at 121.95, with 10-Yr spread vs
Bunds up 8.3bps at 297bps.
- 10-Yr spreads vs Bunds: Spain out 1.9bps at 115.9bps, Portugal out 1.3bps at
147.1bps, Greece out 4.7bps at 391bps.
- Euribor a little stronger in Blues (up 1.0-1.5 ticks).
- Books closed on EFSF 5-Yr benchmark sale, over E5bln. Spread set earlier at
MS-13bps.
- ECB talk up later includes Lautenschlager (1200GMT) and Guindos (1300GMT).
