Bugey Nuclear Cuts Extended by One Day

POWER

The 3.58GW Bugey nuclear complex may reduce output until 21 August, with one unit in must run at a minimum of 180MW due to grid constraints until 21 August due to forecasts for high temperatures in the Rhone river, remit data showed.

  • The 910MW Bugey 2 reactor will be offline until 14:00 CET in an unplanned outage. Bugey 2 will also be offline for 24 hours starting 14 Aug 00:00 CET amid planned works.
  • EdF said it may reduce output at the 2.67GW St Alban nuclear complex on 10-18 August, one day earlier than previously scheduled, one unit will at least remain in operation at a minimum of 600MW until 18 August amid grid constraints.
  • The 1.335GW St Alban 2 nuclear reactor will reduce output to 260MW on 13 Aug 02:00 until 16:00 CET. The reactor will also reduce output on 14 Aug from 03:00 to 18:00 CET to 260MW.
  • The 1.34GW St Alban 1 nuclear plant is currently scheduled to be offline 17 August until 13 October amid planned maintenance.
  • The 3.66GW Tricastin complex may reduce output until 21 August, from 19 August previously scheduled.
  • The 915MW Tricastin 2 nuclear reactor will be offline until 13 Aug 23:00 CET in a forced halt, after which it will be offline until 15 Aug 00:00 CET in a planned shutdown.
  • The 915MW Tricastin 4 reactor will reduce capacity to 180MW on 14 August from 09:00 until 18:00 CET.
