CABLE: Cable has added 15 pips and last deals at $1.3066. Over the weekend, UK
PM May ruled out holding another "meaningful vote" on her Brexit deal this week,
but pledged that the MPs will vote on the deal by March 12. Although the PM said
that leaving the EU on March 29 was "within our grasp," the Telegraph reported
that Brexit might be delayed for up to 2 months, while the Guardian's sources
said that EU officials are exploring plans of delaying Brexit until 2021.
- Cable climbed 10 pips Friday, amidst broader USD weakness, as U.S. Tsy yields
declined.
- $1.3080, which capped gains Friday, provides the initial bullish target, and a
break above would bring the upper 1.0% 10-DMA envelope at $1.3093 into play.
Conversely, bears look for a break below the 100-HMA at $1.3033, which would
allow them to set sights on the 21-DMA/200-DMA at $1.2996/92.
- UK data releases this week include m'fing PMI due Friday. The speakers' slate
includes BoE Gov Carney & FCA Chief Bailey due to speak later today, while
Carney will speak again on Tuesday, in addition to his BoE colleagues; Ramsden,
Vlieghe & Haskel who are all due to speak on the same day.
