  • Peru’s President Pedro Castillo is quickly losing the backing of left-wing and centrist groups that have supported the government following his decision to appoint several controversial cabinet members earlier this week.
  • Overnight, Peru’s Partido Morado party won’t grant the vote of confidence to the new ministers cabinet, the party said on its Twitter account. While the party only have three seats, this indicates further signs of discontent and ongoing obstacles for President Castillo.
