CEZ To Discuss Tender For Nuclear Reactor, Pirates Re-Elect Party Leader

  • Seznam Zpravy reported that the majority-state owned utility CEZ and leaders of the ruling coalition will on Tuesday discuss progress in the tender for the construction of a new nuclear reactor. Bidders from France, the US and South Korea submitted bids last year and CEZ has been analysing their offers since then. The government has so far refused to provide any details of the upcoming meeting.
  • The Pirate Party re-elected Ivan Bartos as its leader but replaced all the other top executive officials during a congress held on Saturday. All four positions of deputy leaders are now occupied by women. First and second deputy leaders, Klara Kocmanova and Marketa Gregorova, are seen as more radical and potentially more sceptical of some aspects of the coalition with the conservatives than Bartos.
