UK: Chancellor: For the benefit of the House, the GDP forecast without fully
accounting for the impact of coronavirus would have led to growth of 1.1% in
2020 and 1.8% in 2021, then 1.5%, 1.3%, and 1.4% in the following years. And
today the OBR have made an estimate they've never made before. They have said,
in their words, that today's "large planned increase in public investment should
boost potential output too". If future Governments have the same determination
to continue our approach, the UK's long-term productivity will increase by 2.5%.
