Change in Bloomberg generic yield causing some confusion

GILTS

There's been quite a significant roll in the UK generic 2-year yield used by Bloomberg today. They have switched from using the 0.25% Jan-25 gilt (current yield 4.02%) as the benchmark 2-year to the 0.625% Jun-25 gilt. The spread between the two gilts is around 43bp. So 2-year gilt yields are actually around 7bp higher on the day (not 34bp lower as Bloomberg is reporting on the generic).
