China Bought 1.05mbpd of Iranian Oil in Jan-Oct

China bought an average of 1.05mbpd of Iranian oil in the first ten months of this year, Vortexa ship-tracking data showed, 60% above pre-sanction peaks in 20217, Chinese customs data showed, cited by Reuters.

  • Chinese imports of Iranian oil are estimated to have reached 1.45mbpd in October, the highest monthly level on record, Vortexa data showed.
  • The latest Platts survey suggested Iranian crude oil output stood at 3.05mbpd in October.
