China CFLP Mfg PMI Eases to 51.4 in July; MNI Median 51.5

     BEIJING (MNI) - The official China manufacturing PMI, jointly released by
the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) and the National Bureau
of Statistics (NBS), fell to 51.4 in July from 51.7 in June.
     The reading was slightly lower than MNI's median prediction of 51.5.
     Among major subcategories: 
          --Manufacturing new orders index fell to 52.8 from 53.1 in June 
          --Manufacturing output index fell to 53.5 in July from 54.4 in June
          --Input price index rose to 57.9 in July from 50.4 in June
          --Business expectations index rose to 59.1 from 58.7 in June
          --New export orders fell to 50.9 from 52.0 in June
     The official services PMI fell to 54.5 in July from 54.9 in June, the NBS
said. It is the tenth consecutive month that the reading has been above 54
points, a relatively high level.
