China Crude Imports Slip to 11.31mn bpd in Jan: LSEG

China’s crude imports maintained momentum in January at 11.31mn bpd, down slightly from 11.44mn bpd in December according to LSEG figures.

  • China refinery runs are being hit by weaker margins in early 2024 according to OilChem.
  • China’s planned exports of refined oil products, namely gasoline, gasoil, and jet fuel, are set to fall 13.65% on the month in Feb to 3.48m mt, according to OilChem. This represents a fall of 7.64% compared to February 2023.
