CHINA: China is speeding up the streamlining of its custom checking process,
while reducing costs for companies trading with other countries, officials said
at a press conference Thursday.
--China will establish a "green channel" to accelerate custom procedures of
agricultural products, Zhang Guangzhi, director of the National Port Management
Office, said.
--Custom clearance time for both import and export will be cut, the officials
said;
--The General Administration of Customs will encourage companies to export
products and expand sales channels, looking to increase investment overseas in
more diversified markets, the officials noted.
