China PMIs, BoT Decision, South Korea Trade Coming Up This Week

  • China data is headlined by May manufacturing PMI prints this week. On Wed the official figures are due. The market expects a slight improvement in the manufacturing outcome (49.4 from 49.2), but services to ease to 55.2 (from 56.4). On Thurs the Caixin manufacturing prints.
  • In Hong Kong, trade figures are out today, money supply on Wed, retail sales on Thurs.
  • In South Korea, retail sales for Apr are due Tues-Wed, IP and cyclical leading on Wed. Trade data for May is out on Thurs, then CPI and Q1 GDP revisions are out on Fri.
  • In Taiwan, just the May PMI is out on Thurs.
  • In Singapore, money supply figures are out on Wed, PMIs print on Sat.
  • For India, Q1 GDP prints on Wed, the PMI on Thurs.
  • In Thailand customs trade figures are out Tues, IP and the BoT decision (+25bps expected) print on Wed, the PMI is out Thurs.
  • In the Philippines bank lending data is out in the first few days this week, while the PMI prints on Thurs.
  • In Malaysia, the PMI on Thur is the only data of note.
