China Regulator Denies Ban on Ant Financial: News

China's principal banking regulator denied a media report that it instructed banks to stop working with Ant Financial on syndicated lending, the Financial News reported citing an unnamed official with the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. The CBIRC said it had issued no new rules over syndicated lending and it supported financial institutions conducting business with Ant Financial according to the law, so as to better support the development of the real economy, the newspaper reported.
