China Will Work To Ease Market Access For Offshore Companies

China's US embassy has stated that it is working to ease market access further to offshore companies and that as long as offshore companies abide by Chinese laws, they are welcome to the China market.

  • These comments are reportedly in response to US Commerce Secretary's Raimondo's earlier comments that US companies were telling her that China had become 'uninvestible'.
  • The China US embassy added that most of the 70k of US firms doing business in China wanted to stay and that 90% were profitable.
  • It was noted that the cybersecurity review on Micron reflects a safeguarding of national security, but China does not target or look to exclude any technologies or products from any country.
