AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: Choppy month-end conditions took hold in a holiday shortened
session, with a late surge dragging contacts away from their SFE lows, leaving
YM -4.0 come settlement, while XM finished 6.5 ticks lower on the day. YM/XM
finished 2.5 ticks steeper on the day at 46.5 as a result.
- 10s extended their recent run of underperformance vs. U.S. Tsys, which will
have many strategists worried, after widespread AU/U.S. 10-Year spread tightener
entries in recent weeks.
- There was no tangible reaction to the official Chinese PMI data.
- Bills 1-3 ticks lower through the reds.
- Small selling of IBF0 and small buying of IBG0 was seen in early Sydney trade.
