Congresswoman Files Complaint To Oust Vice President

PERU

Peruvian Congresswoman Norma Yarrow filed a constitutional complaint against Vice President Dina Boluarte, RPP reports.

  • Yarrow filed her petition after Peru's Comptroller General said Boluarte broke the law by joining the board of directors of Club Departamental Apurimac and Asociacion de Clubes Departamentales del Peru and failing to disclose the names of some of her relatives employed by the state.
  • Boluarte is currently in Davos, where she represents Peru in lieu of President Castillo, who decided to stay in the country to oversee another Cabinet reshuffle. The ongoing mining and fertiliser crisis led to the replacement of four ministers earlier this week.
