There isn’t much to add to the earlier commentary re: core FI markets, with BoJ Deputy Governor Wakatabe’s status quo comments (see previous bullet for deeper colour) failing to provide any impetus for JGBs ahead of the Tokyo lunch break. U.S. Tsys & ACGBs hold on to the bulk of their modest early Asia gains (driven by weakness in U.S. tech shares post-Meta earnings & guidance), while JGBs underperform.
