LNG

Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG stage 3 expansion project in Texas is 52.7% percent complete according to LNG Prime citing the January construction report filed with the US FERC last week.

  • The US LNG facility is targeting the start of production at the first train later this year. LNG deliveries were initially targeted to begin in 2025 with full production in 2027 but CEO Jack Fusco said in August that the expansion project is expected to complete ahead of schedule.
  • Corpus Christi Stage 3 will consist of seven “midscale” trains that will add approximately 10+mtpa of production capacity, bringing CCL’s total nominal capacity to more than 25mtpa.
  • Two more midscale trains 8 & 9 are planned as part of the third expansion phase with FID in 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.
