CPC Hit by Equipment Delays: KazMunayGas

Kazakhstan is in consultation with the EU, US and UK because of issues delivering equipment to the CPC according to Magzum Mirzagaliyev, CEO of the Kazakh oil and gas company KazMunayGas.

  • No foreign sanctions have been imposed on KazMunayGas, and yet it is experiencing some issues with receiving equipment Mirzagaliyev said.
  • "KazMunayGas, with support from the Kazakh government, is conducting consultations with authorized EU, U.S., and UK bodies to settle the issue," the company said.
  • The CPC has been hit by numerous issues this year, most recently halting loading at 2/3 loading points which have faced extended delays. The issues have prompted Kazakhstan and its international partners to seek other ways to get its oil to market to try and circumvent it passing through Russia.
