OIL: Crude has given back some of Thursday's late gains in Asia hours with WTI
~$0.30 lower and Brent ~$0.60 worse off as the Nikkei 225 trades defensively.
- Yesterday's late bid came about on the back of the Pentagon announcing that
the U.S. will send a Patriot missile battery, radars and roughly 200 support
personnel to Saudi Arabia & "approved putting additional forces on prepare to
deploy orders."
- Thursday also saw OPEC SecGen Barkindo note that Saudi has almost restored
crude output to the levels seen before the well-documented attack on the Aramco
facilities.
