DOLLAR-YEN TECHS: Cycle Highs
Having closed above 113.00 yesterday, USDJPY resumed the outright positive trend
to print fresh ytd highs of 113.64. Bulls remain in control with the next upside
hurdle at 114.00, a level which is reported to hold option-related resistance. A
break here would likely accelerate the move, targeting the Nov 2017 high at
114.73, ahead of the 61.8% retracement of 125.86-99.02 at 115.61. Bears target a
break of the Sep 20 low and retracement toward the 111.60 level to shift the
outlook back to neutral, before targeting the 100-dma & up trendline support at
110.98/111.12.
