Dangote Set for Test Runs

Nigeria’s 650k b/d Dangote refinery could begin test runs as early as this week, having received its sixth crude cargo Jan. 8, according to company officials cited by Reuters.

  • The sixth cargo was an additional 1m b/d from the Agbami field in the Niger delta.
  • The next step will be the start-up of the CDU, most likely to begin this week, an executive told Reuters.
  • However, producing marketable products such as diesel and gasoline and full or near-full capacity could still be months away, analysts told Reuters.
