ECB Accounts and speakers the highlights on Thanksgiving

BOND SUMMARY

Core fixed income has been grinding higher through the European session but markets remain within yesterday's ranges in subdued trading ahead of the US Thanksgiving holiday.

  • The main event of the day will probably be the Accounts of the ECB's October meeting with any clues as to the change, scope or size in QE technicalities likely to be market moving (we don't expect much here but there is still a chance of something material).
  • Elsewhere, the ECB's Lane and Schnabel are also due to speak today.
  • TY1 futures are up 0-4 today at 138-12+.
  • Bund futures are up 0.06 today at 175.39 with 10y Bund yields down -1.0bp at -0.578% and Schatz yields down -0.7bp at -0.763%.
  • Gilt futures are up 0.06 today at 134.23 with 10y yields down -1.1bp at 0.305% and 2y yields down -1.0bp at -0.41%.
