A calmer afternoon session, as the dust settles after a fairly chunky session volume-wise this morning

  • Bund are still better offered, but desk sits on the sideline, with the attention quickly turning towards Jackson Hole tomorrow.
  • Peripheral are mostly close to flat, but Greece has now widened by 4.4bps on the session.
  • Gilts have traded in line with Bund, translating into a flat spread for the day.
  • The contract trades in a 31 ticks range (128.25/128.55), and rolling the rest of position into December has been the main source of the volumes traded.

  • Gilt futures are down -0.20 today at 129.33 with 10y yields up 2.0bp at 0.616% and 2y yields up 0.5bp at 0.147%
  • Bund futures are down -0.21 today at 175.77 with 10y Bund yields up 1.7bp at -0.406% and Schatz yields up 0.2bp at -0.738%.
  • BTP futures are down -0.16 today at 153.68 with 10y yields up 1.3bp at 0.675% and 2y yields down -0.3bp at -0.479%.
  • OAT futures are down -0.17 today at 161.44 with 10y yields up 1.7bp at -0.52% and 2y yields up 0.2bp at -0.720%.
