Slovakia, the EU, Austria, Germany, Portugal and Italy have already sold bonds this week for E13.4bln. Spain and France are all yet to sell bonds today for an estimated further E17.1bln. We look for gross nominal issuance of E30.5bln, over double last week's E13.8bln.

  • Slovakia came to the market on Monday and sold E175mln of the 2.25% Jun-68 SlovGB (ISIN: SK4120014184).
  • The EU held a E6.0bln syndication on Tuesday of the new long 20-year Feb-43 Green EU-bond (ISIN: EU000A3K4DG1).
  • Also on Tuesday, Austria sold a total of E1.495bln of 10/25-year RAGBs via auction: E920mln the 0.90% Feb-32 RAGB (ISIN: AT0000A2WSC8) and E575mln the 1.50% Feb-47 RAGB (ISIN: AT0000A1K9F1). E800mln and E500mln were allotted respectively.
  • Tuesday's issuance was completed by Germany sselling E600mln of linkers: E500mln (E432mln allotted) of the 0.50% Apr-30 ILB (ISIN: DE0001030559) and E100mln (E47mln allotted) of the 0.10% Apr-46 ILB (ISIN: DE0001030575).
  • Yesterday, Portugal held a E3.0bln syndication of the new 1.65% Jul-32 OT (ISIN: PTOTEYOE0031).
  • Italy also came to the market yesterday, selling E2.1bln (vs max E2.5bln) of off-the-run BTPs through a Specialist Tap operation: E1.015bln of the 2.80% Dec-28 BTP (ISIN: IT0005340929), E430mln of the 2.70% Mar-47 BTP (ISIN: IT0005162828) and E655mln of the 1.70% Sep-51 BTP (ISIN: IT0005425233).
