BOND SUMMARY: /EGBs-GILTS: Core FI is a little weaker as equities have had a
tentative bounce, with spreads tighter across the periphery. 5-Yr UK yields
continue setting fresh all-time lows though; 10-Yr gilt yields have edged higher
from post-March lows set early in the session.
- German Aug GfK Confidence came in a little better than expected, while French
business/manufacturing confidence missed exp. slightly. We get UK CBI numbers
for Jul at 1100BST, advance Eurozone Jul consumer confidence at 1500BST.
- ECB's de Guindos speaks at 1000BST, with BOE's Haskel up at 1200BST.
- EGB/Gilt issuance is concluded for the week. ** Latest levels:
* Sep Bund futures (RX) down 19 ticks at 176.74 (L: 176.69 / H: 176.89)
* Sep Gilt futures (G) down 6 ticks at 138.21 (L: 138.13 / H: 138.29)
* Sep BTP futures (IK) up 16 ticks at 146.68 (L: 146.52 / H: 146.7)
* Italy / German 10-Yr spread 1.6bps tighter at 151bps
* Sep OAT futures (OA) down 9 ticks at 168.43 (L: 168.37 / H: 168.53)
