 Polish Energa will upgrade one of the coal-fired units at its 690MW Ostroleka B power plant by the end of 2025, increasing biomass co-combustion capacity to 50% from 30% and reducing emissions, it said, cited by ISB News.

  • The modernisation will be done at the 230MW unit 3 and will reduce the emission intensity of the unit to below 550g CO2/KWh.
  • Works are set for completion by 4Q25.
