Erdogan Cuts Interview Short Following Health Incident

  • President Erdogan suffered an unexpected health issue yesterday evening during a live television interview which briefly stopped broadcasting, Bloomberg report. Erdogan said he had developed an upset stomach during his campaign for re-election. “Naturally, we are facing such issues from time-to-time amid such a busy schedule,” Erdogan said as he returned to the broadcast on Kanal 7 after several minutes. He answered one more question before the interview ended.
  • Erdogan is scheduled to make campaign appearances in three separate provinces on Wednesday and his schedule was confirmed after the incident.
