Euribor Strip Sits Broadly Flat; ECB-Speak Eyed Again

STIR

The Euribor strip sits broadly flat vs yesterday's close.

  • Slightly softer than expected inflation data out of China overnight did not trigger major moves, as markets turn to another session dominated by ECB-speak - most notably Lane at 0810 GMT and Lagarde at 1730GMT.
  • Comments from de Guindos earlier stressed that it is too early to consider lowering rates at this stage, while Villeroy noted that further tightening would only come in the face of external shocks/surprises.
