CABLE: Fails to hold data react gains as sterling comes under fresh downside
assault. Traders have suggested real money supply in the market. Rate trades
back at $1.3490, off its data react high of $1.3510, the rate having been
pressed to a low of $1.3478 pre data release, off an earlier high of $1.3550.
Sterling has had a decent recovery this week, following reports of a break
through in Brexit negotiations, though problems of the Irish border now getting
more press. End month flow added to the cable recovery, now that is out of the
way sterling has begun to lose some of its lustre, especially into the weekend
with Sunday press the unknown factor. Support now seen at $1.3478 ahead of
$1.3465/50. Resistance $1.3550.
