February CPI, due to be released....>

US DATA PREVIEW
US DATA PREVIEW: February CPI, due to be released at 8:30 am ET (12:30 GMT), are
expected to rise by 0.2% based on both the Bloomberg consensus and an MNI survey
of analysts. This follows a flat reading in January.
- Core CPI is also expected to be up 0.2%, based on both BBG and MNI forecasts,
which would mark a fifth consecutive gain of this size.
- The expected gains would leave the year/year rates roughly unchanged at 1.6%
and 2.2% for overall and core CPI, respectively, with some room for rounding.
- Analysts forecasts for CPI are usually accurate, but they are even more so
this month, with correct estimates in each of the last five February reports.
