Focus remains squarely on the Yen

USD
  • It's a steady early session for the Dollar, with the Currency mostly flat against all G10s.
  • AUD was the small best performer going into the European Govie cash open, and NZD was down 0.20%.
  • Post Cash Govie open, AUD has extended its small gains to 0.21%, while the Kiwi has pared some small losses, and is now down 0.11%.
  • The rest of the G10 currencies are flat against the Greenback, and given that UK Inflation Data was closer to inline with Consensus, Cable has stuck and is sticking to a tight 25 pips range so far today..
  • The street will continue to monitor the Yen, and although USDJPY has so far failed to test the initial area of interest at 158.44, only managing a 158.26 high this week, AUDJPY continues to extend gains this morning, with the next key area coming at 105.433, the 2013 high and the highest printed level since 2007.
