Freeport LNG Train 2 Restarts After Second Shutdown

Freeport’s LNG train 2 restarted Jan. 24 after tripping offline, according to a filing to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, cited by Bloomberg.

  • This is the second shutdown this week.
  • Train 2 shut down due to an issue with the 12k-30 flow transmitter, according to the filing.
  • Feedgas flows into Freeport are currently around 0.913 bcf/d, compared to around 2 bcf/d during normal operations.
