French Strike Action Ends One Day Early

Strike action at France’s nuclear reactors and fuel refineries have ended after one day, from 48 hours previously scheduled, CGT union told Reuters.

  • Strikes at nuclear reactors ended early after grid operator RTE requested that the nuclear supply be returned to the network due to cold weather, FNME-CGT spokesperson said.
  • Strikes disrupting fuel deliveries from several TotalEnergies' sites were also suspended but will be proposed again at each site for the 31 Jan national strike, the union said.
