LNG

The 174,000-cbm FSRU Energos Force is expected to be deployed in Stade in mid-March following the completion of one LNG delivery and a short visit to a yard, according to Deutsche Energy Terminal via LNG Prime.

  • The unit is currently serving as an LNG carrier and is loaded with a cargo from Venture Global LNG’s Calcasieu plant for delivery to the FSRU terminal in Brunsbüttel, according to its AIS data.
  • “It will then travel to Rotterdam before being deployed as FSRU in Stade in mid-March,” the spokesman said.
  • Minor work will be carried out in Rotterdam to “convert the ship from cargo operation to FSRU operation,” he said.
  • The FSRU is due to be replaced by Hanseatic Energy Hub’s planned onshore LNG import terminal in 2027.
