Futures A Little Cheaper

JGBS

U.S. Tsy gyrations were in the diving seat overnight, with JGB futures closing -5, finishing a little above worst levels as the U.S. Tsy curve twist steepened. A reminder that the longer end of the U.S. Tsy curve finished off of intraday cheaps.

  • There hasn’t been much in the way of notable domestic headline flow since the Tokyo close, so local reaction to the overnight move in futures/U.S. Tsy dynamic will be in the driving seat.
  • Calendar ’22 JGB issuance gets underway today, with 10-Year JGB supply due (30-Year paper will be issued on Friday).
