Futures Benefit From Broader Duration Bid

JGBS

JGB futures ultimately benefitted from the broader bid for duration evident on Friday, adding 13 ticks to Tokyo settlement levels in after-hours trade. A reminder that Japanese Prime Minister Kishida wasn't forthcoming with details re: JGB issuance surrounding the formally outlined fiscal support package (details on issuance will likely be announced around the backend of this week).

  • A liquidity enhancement auction covering off the run 1- to 5-Year JGBs headlines the local docket on Monday. A reminder that Japan will observe a market holiday on Tuesday, which may result in a more limited round of Tokyo afternoon trade.
