Futures Firm Overnight, But Finish Off Best Levels

JGBS

JGB futures benefitted from the softer than expected U.S. ADP employment and ISM services data during overnight trade, but pulled back from best levels alongside U.S. Tsys, finishing post-Tokyo dealing +10. Note that early Asia-Pac trade has seen U.S. Tsy futures richen a touch, while the JPY trades on the front foot in the FX space, which points towards the potential for a light bid at the re-open of JGB futures trade.

  • There hasn’t been much in the way of domestic headline flow of note to digest since Wednesday’s Tokyo close.
  • Weekly international security flow data from the MoF and 30-Year JGB supply headline the domestic docket today.
