JGB futures latched onto the bid in U.S. Tsys post-FOMC, extending on gains that developed into London hours during the early stages of overnight trade. That left the contract +36 at the close of post-Tokyo dealing, still comfortably shy of its recent peak.

Local headline flow has been somewhat subdued since Wednesday’s close.
Focus today falls on 10-Year JGB supply, with lower tier local data slated. We will also get an address from soon to be departing BoJ Deputy Governor Wakatabe.
