Futures See Fresh Highs On HICP Before Fading Back To Pre-Data Levels

BUNDS

Slightly softer than projected HICP data out of Germany allows Bund futures to tag fresh session highs, although the move is limited and then retraces, leaving the contract closer to pre-data levels, 25 ticks or so firmer on the day. The 20-day EMA has been breached, leaving bulls looking to the July 24 high (134.01) as the next meaningful level of technical resistance. A break there is needed to regain technical control after Thursday’s softer price action.
