Futures Soften Overnight

JGBS

JGB futures cheapened a little overnight as the late pull back from Wednesday’s best levels accelerated as the front end of the U.S. Tsy curve (and wider core global FI markets) came under some light pressure. That left the contract -20 at the close of post-Tokyo dealing, a touch off worst levels of the session.

  • There hasn’t been much cross in the way of meaningful domestic headline flow since the Tokyo close, with Fitch’s affirmation of Japan’s A rating (with a stable outlook) not set to result in any market follow through.
  • The weekly international security flow data from the MoF and 2-Year JGB supply headline a limited Tokyo docket on Thursday.
