Gas Prices Tumble Across Continents As Demand Looks Weak

LNG

European LNG prices fell another 7% on Wednesday to just below EUR 39.80 to be down around 17% in November and the lowest this year. The market is comfortable that there is enough gas in storage and arriving to cover the rest of the heating season. Industrial demand is also likely to remain weak. They reached a high of EUR 43.10 early in the session.

  • US natural gas prices were down another 1.6% to be 26.8% lower this month. Oversupply has been an issue but also the weather has been mild and is forecast to remain so over at least the next 10 days, according to Atmospheric G2.
  • North Asian prices fell another 1.1% on Wednesday to be down over 8% in November as heating demand is looking soft.
